POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for planning and monitoring the day-to-day operations to ensure objectives and goals are met efficiently and on schedule. This includes Production, Logo, Receiving, Pick, Pack, and Ship activities of the facility. Directs the scheduling and efficiency of order processing and production, development of processes and procedures, inventory management, managing and reporting performance by completing the following duties personally or through staff. Must be able to manage a team and hit all goals in a high-volume job shop and understand how to flex up production during order peaks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain on time and accurate deliveries of all orders and transfers.
Produce products as necessary to meet customer demand and stocking levels.
Process customization of products ensuring quality and on-time shipment.
Maintain good housekeeping and organization in the facility.
Ensure that all operations employees are properly trained in their work responsibilities.
Manage productivity of all departments.
Promote a team environment throughout all areas of the operation.
Verify all ISO processes and work instructions are current and being followed.
Ensure that all the safety measures specified by the state and company policies are met.
Ensure transparency in communications with employees and management.
Manage and coordinate all building and equipment maintenance.
Produce weekly and monthly metric data to senior management as directed.
Analyze production data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages teams in the following areas: Production, Assembly, Logo, Receiving, Put Away, Picking, Replenishment, and Shipping. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these areas.
Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Job Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years in a management capacity is required; preferably in a warehouse environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business reading and/or training materials as well as federal/state regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures as needed.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and/or the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Must be PC literate (MS Office and general ERP systems), have strong organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Must be self-motivated, safety conscious, and detail oriented.
Excellent communication skills, conflict resolution experience, training/coaching skills a plus.
